I didn't cut my hair for almost two years. At first it was for me. I made a vow that I was not going to cut my hair until I made significant, positive changes in my life - changes that would make me a happier, healthier person. I was tired of being a crab all the time and I attributed a lot of it to the stress of living a totally unnatural, unsustainable lifestyle. I needed a kick in the pants, a physical reminder, that there's more to life than just this.
Then I had a revelation. I could grow my hair out for me and for someone in need at the same time. I looked up Locks of Love and decided to donate my hair. This week, feeling like there are enough significant, positive changes in the works, I finally cut my hair.
Pictures of the new short hairdo to come shortly!

I'm jealous that you're moving to Yuba. I grew up in Lake Tahoe, and once drove my jeep across the Yuba River. I'm incredibly lucky I didn't stall our or drown. But it is a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the hair.
The Yuba is awesome - my husband grew up spending summers at his favorite swimming holes and I'm hoping we'll get to do that this summer. Can't believe you drove your jeep across it!
